Ed Herman

Ed Herman has been a mental health professional for 23 years. He studied psychology at the University of Oregon and has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas.

He works with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and grief. He regularly uses cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy (for trauma), insight-oriented therapy and family systems therapy. Although client needs vary, Ed believes in the importance of helping clients see how their early attachments may be playing out in their lives today.

Ed is particularly interested in helping clients with complicated (prolonged) grief and has made this a focus of study and work.
